The SOILL partners, as further herein defined, are engaged in a collaborative effort to conduct a thorough assessment of the readiness of Living Lab (LL) and Lighthouse (LH) initiatives, focusing on the evaluation of their maturity and alignment with the criteria of the EU Mission ‘A Soil Deal for Europe’ (“Mission Soil”) for Soil Living Labs and Lighthouses as further defined by the PREPSOIL taxonomy.
“SOILL – Support Structure for SOIL Living Labs” projects are projects governed by the SOILL - Support Structure for SOILL Living Labs Framework Partnership Agreement (“SOILL FPA”) (GA 101112782) and by Specific Grant Agreements under the SOILL FPA, including projects that will start in the future. All projects subject to Specific Grant Agreements under the SOILL FPA are hereinafter referred to as “SOILL projects”. For the avoidance of doubt, the SOILL-Startup project is a SOILL project. Partners of SOILL projects shall mean any party that is or will become a beneficiary to a specific grant agreement for a SOILL project.
To facilitate an unified and efficient assessment process, the PREPSOIL partners have developed a set of simplified key questions specifically designed for LLs, LHs, and experimentation sites to prescreen and identify initiatives potentially aligned with the Soil Mission criteria and PREPSOIL taxonomy. Responses to these questions will be used to assess eligibility for further evaluation by the partners of SOILL projects, aiming to classify initiatives as either European Soil LLs and LHs fully aligned with Soil Mission criteria, or Emerging Soil LLs and LHs that are working towards meeting all Soil Mission criteria.
All assessment data (i.e. your specific answers to the questions included in the assessment form, as well as the evaluation results), hereinafter referred as “Assessment Data”) and personal contact information (i.e. name, email address, role and phone number of the contact person), hereinafter referred to as “Contact Information” collected, will be processed by SOILL partners for preassessment and evaluation. Initiatives meeting the evaluation criteria will be invited by the SOILL partners to complete the more detailed assessment developed by the partners of SOILL projects, for which the partners of SOILL projects are to be considered joint data controllers for such assessment. .
All Assessment Data and Contact Information collected, processed and shared by PREPSOIL partners to the partners of SOILL projects will strictly comply with the applicable legislation, in particular the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR Regulation (EU) 2016/679) and the Belgian law on the protection of personal data of 30 July 2018. Further details on data protection processing are specified in the PREPSOIL Privacy Policy and the relevant SOILL project privacy policies ( a.o. the SOILL-Startup Terms of Use, Privacy Policy, and Cookie Policy, Soil Projects Continuity, and the SOILL Transparency statement) (hereinafter referred to as “Privacy Policies”). Please note that the Privacy Policies referred to may be updated from time to time.
By completing and submitting the assessment form, respondents acknowledge and explicitly consent to the processing and evaluation of responses by SOILL partners, being contacted by the SOILL partners for the purposes specified here; and in case of meeting the evaluation criteria, acknowledge the sharing of Assessment Data and Contact Information with the partners of SOILL projects to be contacted for further assessment.
